The stainless steel plate has a general corrosion resistance similar to
that of the unstable ni-Cr 304. Prolonged heating in the temperature
range at chromium carbide levels may affect alloys 321 and 347 in harsh
corrosive media. Mainly used in high temperature applications, which
require strong resistance to sensitization of materials to prevent
intergranular corrosion at lower temperatures.
High temperature oxidation resistance
Stainless
steel plates have high temperature oxidation resistance, however, the
oxidation rate will be affected by the exposure environment and product
form and other inherent factors.
Physical properties of
The
total heat transfer coefficient of the metal depends on other factors
besides the thermal conductivity of the metal. In most cases, the heat
dissipation factor of the film, the rust and the surface condition of
the metal. Stainless steel keeps the surface clean and therefore
conducts heat better than other metals with higher thermal conductivity.
